NCT ID NCT05442086
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested whether listening to calm music combined with low-frequency sound beats (theta waves) can reduce anxiety. 92 young adults with mild anxiety symptoms took part in a single 24-27 minute session. Researchers measured brain activity, heart rate, stress hormones, and self-reported anxiety before and after the session to see if the sound treatment helped them relax more than plain background noise.
