Soothing sounds and pressure points may take the sting out of dialysis
NCT ID NCT07657923
First seen Jun 18, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether combining music and acupressure can reduce pain when needles are inserted for dialysis. 72 patients were split into four groups: music plus acupressure, acupressure alone, music alone, or usual care. The results suggest that the combination may offer a drug-free way to ease discomfort during this routine procedure.
