First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looked at whether playing music to women after a cesarean delivery can help reduce pain, increase comfort, and improve the bond between mother and baby. Sixty-two new mothers were randomly assigned to listen to a special type of music twice in the first 24 hours after surgery or to receive standard care. The results aim to show if a simple, drug-free approach like music can make recovery more comfortable and strengthen early bonding.
