Tiny muscle samples may explain stubborn shoulder stiffness in kids with birth nerve damage
NCT ID NCT03771144
First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looked at muscle samples from 7 children with brachial plexus birth palsy who had shoulder stiffness. Researchers wanted to find out if the internal and external rotator muscles were damaged or scarred, which could explain why stiffness returns even after surgery. The goal was to gather information to help doctors decide on the best treatment, not to test a new therapy.
