New muscle stimulation program aims to boost pain relief for back pain sufferers
NCT ID NCT07540663
First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding a muscle stimulation program to existing BurstDR therapy can further reduce chronic back pain and improve quality of life. About 60 adults with persistent back pain who already have a spinal cord stimulator implanted will use the extra muscle stimulation twice daily for 3 months. Researchers will track pain levels and daily function through questionnaires to see if the combination works better than the stimulator alone.
