New therapy aims to help kids with cerebral palsy stand stronger

Summary

This study tested whether adding multisensory environment stimulation to standard exercise training could improve balance and posture control in children with a specific type of cerebral palsy. Thirty-eight children, aged 9 to 12, were randomly assigned to receive either exercises alone or exercises plus the multisensory therapy for three months. Researchers measured changes in balance using specialized tests to see if the combined approach was more helpful.
