New hope for frail elderly with blood cancer: easier treatment combo shows promise

Summary
This study tests whether a combination of two drugs (daratumumab and lenalidomide) works better than the current standard treatment for frail older adults with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma who cannot have a stem cell transplant. About 294 participants will receive either the new combo or the standard treatment. The goal is to see if the new combo helps people live longer without their cancer getting worse, while causing fewer side effects.
