First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested whether a mulberry leaf extract (Reducose®) could help adults with metabolic syndrome lose more weight while taking the diabetes drug metformin. Fifty overweight adults took either the supplement or a placebo twice daily for 12 weeks, while continuing their usual diet and exercise. Researchers measured changes in body weight, waist size, blood sugar, and cholesterol to see if the supplement improved metabolic health.
