Ancient mud therapy tested for modern wrist pain

NCT ID NCT07417722

Summary

This study tested whether adding peloidotherapy (a type of mud therapy) to standard care helps people with carpal tunnel syndrome. 70 adults with mild-to-moderate symptoms were randomly assigned to receive either a wrist splint and exercises alone, or that same care plus mud therapy. Researchers measured pain, hand function, and nerve changes to see if the mud treatment provided extra relief.
