Summary
This study looks at whether mucus plugs in the lungs of people with COPD can lead to scarring (fibrosis). Researchers will collect lung tissue and mucus from 20 patients having lung cancer surgery, comparing those with and without COPD. The goal is to understand the link between mucus and fibrosis, which could point to new treatments.
