Summary
This early-stage study tests a vaginal gel called MucoCept-CVN, made from a modified version of a natural vaginal bacterium that releases an anti-HIV drug. The goal is to see if it is safe for healthy women and whether it can be cleared with antibiotics. If successful, it could become a long-lasting, woman-controlled HIV prevention method.
