Simple injection could offer new hope for chronic pain sufferers

Summary
This study tests whether injecting steroids into muscle trigger points can reduce pain from chronic musculoskeletal pain, migraines, and hip osteoarthritis. About 1,036 adults aged 45 and older with persistent pain will receive either trigger point or joint injections and be followed for 2 years. The goal is to see if the simpler trigger point method works as well as standard joint injections.
