Summary
This study tested a new drug called MT1013 in 98 adults on hemodialysis who have secondary hyperparathyroidism, a condition where parathyroid hormone levels are too high. The goal was to see if the drug is safe and can lower hormone levels. Participants received either the drug or a placebo, and some took the drug for up to 52 weeks. The study focused on reducing parathyroid hormone by at least 30% and monitoring side effects.
