Mind-Body combo tested to help MS patients walk better
NCT ID NCT05993819
Summary
This study tested whether adding cognitive behavioral therapy (a type of talk therapy) to supervised Pilates exercises could improve balance, walking, fatigue, and daily function in people with multiple sclerosis (MS). 90 participants with MS were split into two groups: one received Pilates training only, and the other received both Pilates and talk therapy for eight weeks. The goal was to see if combining physical and psychological approaches provided greater benefits than exercise alone.
