Scientists investigate link between brain inflammation and MS lesion growth
NCT ID NCT04625049
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looks at whether increased activity of certain brain immune cells (microglia) is linked to faster growth of MS lesions over 10 years. Researchers will use PET and MRI scans to measure this in 100 people with MS. The goal is to better understand how MS progresses, not to test a new treatment.
