New MRI study aims to solve the mystery of MS disability

NCT ID NCT04220814

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looked at 94 adults with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis to better understand why some people have more trouble walking than others. Researchers used advanced MRI scans to measure damage in brain and spinal cord pathways that control movement and sensation. The goal was to see if these detailed scans could better predict walking disability than standard MRI measures.
