Scientists map brain damage to unlock MS walking mystery
NCT ID NCT04220814
Summary
This study aimed to better understand how specific brain and spinal cord damage affects walking problems in people with multiple sclerosis (MS). Researchers used detailed MRI scans and walking tests on 94 adults with relapsing-remitting MS to see if damage to certain nerve pathways correlates more closely with disability than standard scans. The goal was to improve the connection between what doctors see on scans and the symptoms patients experience.
