New scan maps spinal tumors for safer surgery

NCT ID NCT05957679

Summary

This study is testing a special type of MRI scan called magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) to help surgeons plan spinal cord tumor operations. The scan aims to measure how stiff a tumor is and how stuck it is to surrounding tissue before surgery. This information could help surgeons choose the best surgical approach to remove the tumor more safely and with less risk of nerve damage.
