First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 36 times

Summary

This study aims to see if a special MRI scan (diffusion MRI) can accurately detect jaw muscle pain in people with masticatory myofascial pain syndrome. Researchers will compare MRI results from 90 adults with and without pain. If successful, this could lead to a more objective way to diagnose this condition.
