New MRI scan could help detect dangerous prostate cancer earlier

Summary
This study is testing a special MRI technique that uses a substance called hyperpolarized pyruvate to see if it can better find high-grade prostate cancer (the more aggressive type). About 80 men scheduled for prostate removal surgery will get this scan. The goal is to see if this method can tell the difference between aggressive cancer, low-grade cancer, and normal tissue.
