New scan could spot 'Eye Strokes' faster
NCT ID NCT04451265
Summary
This study is testing whether adding two special 8-minute MRI sequences can improve detection of anterior ischemic optic neuropathy, often called an 'eye stroke.' Researchers will enroll 250 adults who come to the hospital with suspected eye stroke symptoms and are already scheduled for a standard eye and brain MRI. The goal is to see if this optimized scan is more sensitive at finding signs of damage to the optic nerve.
