New eye scan aims to spot 'Silent' vision attacks faster
NCT ID NCT04451265
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a special 8-minute MRI scan to a standard eye exam can better detect a condition called anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (a type of 'eye stroke'). Researchers will enroll 250 adults who are already scheduled for an eye MRI because a doctor suspects they have this condition. The goal is to see if this new scan is more accurate at finding the problem, which could lead to faster and better diagnosis.
