Could MRI catch aggressive prostate cancer earlier in high-risk men?
NCT ID NCT01990521
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
Men with BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutations have a higher risk of early and aggressive prostate cancer. This study looks at whether MRI scans can find these cancers earlier than standard PSA and DRE tests. About 60 men aged 50 and older with BRCA mutations will receive an MRI and then a biopsy to see how well MRI works as a screening tool.
