MRI scans could help surgeons get clean margins in tonsil cancer operations
NCT ID NCT07060261
Summary
This study aims to see if MRI scans taken before surgery can predict whether surgeons will be able to remove all tonsil cancer tissue with clean margins. Researchers will enroll 30 adults with HPV-positive tonsil cancer who are scheduled for robotic surgery. The goal is to help surgeons better plan operations and potentially reduce the need for additional radiation or chemotherapy treatments.
