Can a simple scan predict dangerous heart rhythms after surgery?

NCT ID NCT05014802

Summary

This study aims to learn if a special MRI scan that measures scarring in the heart's upper chambers can predict who will develop irregular heartbeats after heart surgery. Researchers will observe 50 patients undergoing planned heart surgery who have no history of these rhythm problems. They will compare the MRI results with the patients' recovery to see if more scarring leads to more complications.
