New MRI-Guided radiation combo aims to improve lung cancer treatment

Summary

This phase 3 trial tests whether using MRI scans to guide radiation therapy, along with chemotherapy and immunotherapy, can reduce lung damage and improve outcomes for people with locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer. About 490 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either MRI-guided or CT-guided radiation. The study focuses on reducing breathing-related side effects and improving cancer control.
