Doctors test Real-Time MRI scans to boost rectal cancer treatment
NCT ID NCT05108428
Summary
This early-phase study is testing whether using MRI scans to guide and adjust radiation therapy in real time is a practical approach for treating rectal cancer. The goal is to see if this more precise method can help more patients achieve a complete response, meaning no detectable cancer remains after treatment. The study will enroll about 20 adults with locally advanced rectal adenocarcinoma.
