First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study is testing whether doctors can deliver very focused, high-dose radiation to tumors in the abdomen or chest while limiting damage to nearby healthy organs. The approach uses a special MRI machine combined with a linear accelerator (MR-Linac) to guide the radiation in real time. About 60 adults with abdominal or lung cancer will take part. The main goal is to see if the treatment can be delivered successfully in more than 85% of cases.
