Sharper aim: MRI machine guides radiation to zap tumors, spare healthy tissue
NCT ID NCT05903430
Summary
This study is testing a new type of radiation machine that uses MRI scans to guide treatment in real time. The goal is to see if doctors can more precisely target tumors in the abdomen or chest with intense radiation while better protecting the surrounding healthy organs. The study will enroll about 60 people with abdominal or lung cancer to see if this approach is practical and to learn about the patient experience.
