New approach shrinks breast tumors before surgery with MRI precision

Summary
This study tests giving a short course of radiation to the breast tumor before surgery, using MRI for precise targeting. The goal is to treat a smaller area of breast tissue and reduce side effects. About 39 women with early-stage breast cancer will receive radiation, then have surgery 5-8 weeks later. Researchers will track complications and survival over five years.
