High-Dose MRI boost may improve prostate cancer control

NCT ID NCT02307058

First seen Feb 23, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving an extra-high dose of radiation to the most aggressive parts of prostate tumors (seen on MRI) can improve cancer control and reduce side effects. About 164 men with prostate cancer will receive either this boost plus standard radiation or standard radiation alone. The goal is to see if the boost leads to better tumor response and quality of life.
