Brain scan strategy aims to head off cancer symptoms

NCT ID NCT05692635

Summary

This study is testing whether regular MRI brain scans can help find cancer that has spread to the brain before it causes symptoms in people with stage III non-squamous lung cancer. Researchers want to see if this monitoring approach reduces the number of people who develop neurological symptoms from brain metastases compared to past patients who didn't get this surveillance. Participants will receive brain MRI scans starting about 4 months after their radiation treatment and be followed for approximately 2 years.
