New scan could map the Brain's seizure hotspots

NCT ID NCT07316972

Summary

This study is testing a new type of MRI scan to see if it can more accurately locate the specific area of the brain that causes seizures in people with drug-resistant epilepsy. The goal is to help surgeons better plan operations to remove this problematic brain tissue. Researchers will scan 20 patients who are already being evaluated for possible epilepsy surgery and compare the new scan results to standard pre-surgical tests.
