Ancient heat therapy tested to shield transplant patients from painful complication
NCT ID NCT06198517
Summary
This study is testing if moxibustion, a traditional Chinese therapy using heat on specific points of the body, can prevent a painful bladder condition called hemorrhagic cystitis in patients who have received a stem cell transplant. Researchers will enroll 266 patients and compare standard care to standard care plus moxibustion treatments for two weeks after the transplant. The main goal is to see if the moxibustion group experiences less severe pain from this complication.
