Could a simple cold water rinse ease painful mouth sores for cancer patients?
NCT ID NCT07252557
Summary
This study is testing whether rinsing with cold water is better than room-temperature water at reducing painful mouth sores caused by radiation treatment for head and neck cancer. About 200 patients will rinse their mouths four times a day for six weeks during their radiation therapy. Researchers want to see if the cold water helps lower pain, makes the mouth more comfortable, and helps patients complete their cancer treatment without interruption.
