Chilling relief: could a simple cold water rinse ease agony of cancer treatment?
NCT ID NCT07252557
Summary
This study is testing whether rinsing with cold water can help reduce the severe mouth sores and pain that often occur during radiation treatment for head and neck cancer. It will compare cold water rinses to room-temperature water rinses in 200 patients over their 6-week treatment course. The goal is to find a simple, non-drug method to improve comfort and help patients complete their cancer therapy.
