Mouthwash showdown: can new rinses beat plaque without staining?
NCT ID NCT07351370
Summary
This study tested two daily-use mouth rinses containing chlorhexidine (an antimicrobial) to see if they were better than a placebo rinse at reducing plaque buildup and gum inflammation (gingivitis) over three months. It also tracked whether the rinses caused tooth staining. 81 adult participants with generally healthy gums used their assigned rinse twice daily alongside their normal brushing and flossing.
