New mouthwash formulas battle plaque and gum disease in 3-Month test
NCT ID NCT07351370
Summary
This study tested whether two daily-use mouth rinses containing chlorhexidine (an antimicrobial) could better control plaque buildup and gum inflammation compared to a placebo rinse. 81 adult participants with generally healthy gums used their assigned rinse twice daily for three months alongside regular brushing. Researchers measured plaque, gum health, and tooth staining to see which rinse worked best.
