Olive oil and bee glue take on cavity bugs in kids
NCT ID NCT07197073
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested three mouthwashes—ozonated olive oil, propolis (a bee product), and chlorhexidine—in 51 children at high risk for cavities. The goal was to see which one best reduced bacteria that cause tooth decay. Researchers measured bacterial counts and plaque buildup before and after use. The results help identify effective, natural alternatives to standard antibacterial mouthwash for kids.
