New program pairs counseling & peers with addiction medication
NCT ID NCT06837662
Summary
This study is testing whether adding counseling and community peer support to standard buprenorphine treatment helps people with opioid addiction stay in treatment and engaged with their healthcare team. Researchers will compare the enhanced program against usual care for 70 participants with complex medical and social needs. The goal is to see if this team-based approach improves treatment retention and builds trust between patients and providers.
