First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looked at whether people with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) have trouble imagining movements in their mind. Researchers compared 129 adults—some with CRPS, some with other muscle pain, and some healthy—using a questionnaire that measures motor imagery skills. The goal was to understand if CRPS affects the brain's ability to mentally picture movement, which could help improve rehabilitation treatments.
