Back surgery recovery: new study seeks clues in patient history
NCT ID NCT07413302
First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at 40 adults having back surgery for a herniated disc that causes leg weakness. Researchers want to find out which factors before surgery (like age, weight, or how long the weakness lasted) affect how well strength returns. The goal is to better predict recovery, not to test a new treatment.
