First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looks at whether motivational interviewing, a type of counseling that boosts inner motivation, can help nursing students feel less anxious and more confident about their clinical training. Researchers will randomly assign 66 first-year nursing students to either receive motivational interviewing or not, and then measure their anxiety, attitudes, and self-belief. The goal is to see if this simple talk-based approach can improve students' mental readiness for hands-on patient care.
