Blood pressure paradox: even controlled hypertension may not prevent death
NCT ID NCT07067632
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 26, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study reviews past clinical trials to see if people with high blood pressure who get it under control actually live longer or have fewer heart-related deaths. Researchers will analyze data from 100 adults whose blood pressure was successfully lowered through medication or procedures. The goal is to understand if hitting blood pressure targets is enough to reduce the risk of dying.
