Summary
This study tested a morphine gel applied directly to painful mouth sores caused by chemotherapy. The goal was to see if the gel could relieve pain better than morphine given through an IV. The study included children and young adults aged 5 to 25. The gel was applied four times a day before meals, and pain was checked before and after each application.
