New registry tracks Morphea's mysterious behavior over time
NCT ID NCT01808937
First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026
Summary
This study creates a registry for people with morphea (localized scleroderma) to better understand how the disease changes over time, what other health issues may occur (like arthritis), and whether it is autoimmune. Researchers will follow up to 500 children and adults for years, using skin exams and quality-of-life surveys. No new treatments are being tested; the goal is simply to learn more about the condition.
