First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study is collecting health information from 5,000 people who have a genetic risk for heritable thoracic aortic disease (H-TAD), a condition that can cause dangerous bulges or tears in the aorta. Researchers want to learn how different gene changes affect the disease and what other factors might influence its course. The goal is to improve prediction, monitoring, and care for people with these genetic mutations.
