Glucose sensors could give early warning for failing diabetes cell transplants
NCT ID NCT07470593
Summary
This study aims to find a better way to monitor the health of transplanted insulin-producing cells in people with type 1 diabetes. Researchers will use continuous glucose monitors to see if a specific measurement, called 'Time in Tight Range,' can signal early problems with the transplant before they become serious. The goal is to help doctors detect declining transplant function sooner, potentially allowing for earlier intervention to maintain better blood sugar control.
