Summary
This study tested a noninvasive imaging method called DOSI that uses harmless near-infrared light to monitor how breast tumors respond to chemotherapy. Researchers measured changes in oxygen levels in the tumor over time to see if they could predict whether the cancer would be completely eliminated. The goal is to provide doctors with a simple, bedside tool to quickly tell if chemotherapy is working.
