New mom care program aims to cut postpartum heart and mood risks

Summary

This study tests a new program called MOMI PODS that provides extra medical and emotional support to new mothers who had pregnancy complications like high blood pressure, diabetes, or depression. About 384 mother-baby pairs will be randomly assigned to either the new program or standard care. The goal is to see if the program helps improve mothers' heart health and mental health over the first year after childbirth.
