NCT ID NCT05619302
First seen Nov 16, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tested a new PET imaging method to measure scarring (fibrosis) in the hearts of people with cardiac amyloidosis, a condition where abnormal proteins build up in the heart. Researchers compared results from 18 participants with cardiac amyloidosis to those with other heart conditions and healthy volunteers. The goal was to see if this scan can accurately detect fibrosis, which could help doctors better understand and monitor the disease.
